2013 pay & performance management survey

2013 Pay & Performance Management Survey

The 2013 pay award may seem a long way off but the process leading to it starts now as we begin consulting with Unite in AXA members as to what they would like to see awarded.

To make the consultation process easier and to reach as many members in AXA as possible we have launched an online survey for staff to complete which can be accessed here.

As well as questions on what you would like to see regarding pay we are asking a few anonymous questions about how you are coping in the current economic climate as well as your views on the performance management system that drives your pay award.

Unite have already undertaken similar surveys in the likes of Aviva and Capita and this data has proven extremely useful in their pay talks.

The survey will run from Wednesday 24th October to Tuesday 6th November.

I would like to see the pay bands revised, as they have not changed for quite a number of years. Those people who have remained loyal to the company over the years and have not had a promotion will be at the high end of the pay scales, which means that if they receive a high performance rating, they are being rewarded less percentage-wise in pay increases and bonuses than those recieving an average rating but are at the lower end of the pay band.

I would like to see all members of staff – regardless of their performance to have a pay rise equal the yearly inflation rate.

I would like to see a base % that is consistent across all bands up to exec level rather than one that is tiered like last year. The cost of living applies to us all proportionately regardless of our bands.

I would simply like to see the pay at AXA the same as over insurance companies.

I would like to see AXA pay all their staff in line with current market salaries. I would also like to see the Company pay towards the staff’s travel expenses. Fares alone went up by 12% last year on my line and are being increased again by approximately 6% in 2013 which is a lot more than the average pay rise given. What ever happened to London Weighting?
